I’ve just spotted a lipstick and I’ve fallen in love!

Tom Ford, the epitome of all things cool, has decided to move on from fashion and film, into the world of make up. Tom Ford’s lipstick collection looks gorgeous, and I want one!

So lipstick is definitely back! Even statistics show that sales of lipstick have gone up by more than 3% since last year. Gone are the days of the Saturday night lipgloss WAG (sales have gone down by 4% since last year), lipstick has had a re-invention. Lipstick is like a symbol for womanhood, for empowerment; it is serious and it means business. I’ve always been a lipstick fan; lipgloss is just too sticky and shiny for me and my hair always gets stuck to my lips (or rather, my lipgloss!). Give me a gorgeous lipstick anyday!

When I say a gorgeous lipstick, just look at Tom Ford’s collection to see what I mean. His collection is called ‘The Tom Ford Private Blend Lip Colour Collection, and includes 12 carefully picked shades from nude to bright red. He’s added soja seed extract, Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil for a rich creamy lipstick and he’s added extra pigment so the shades stay true. He has etched his initials in the actual lipstick, and the case looks chic and luxurious; all cream and gold

Tom Ford says “I took the most universally flattering shades a woman can wear, and I reimagined them in a modern and authoritative way. Your lip colour has the power to define your entire look and dramatically enhance your appearance,” he says. “It enables a woman to change her impression in an instant.”

I totally agree with him! At £35 a lipstick, these lipsticks certainly look the part, but for now I will admire them from afar.
