BATTLE OF THE STYLISH…

Last night saw the yearly round up of the fashion pack at the Elle Style Awards 2010. The night saw Naomi Campbell receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award and making a tear jerking tribute to friend and designer Lee McQueen. The red carpet was awash with gorgeous creations, most fresh from New York and London fashion week. I wanted to stay up and watch the live feed on ELLE website but tiredness took its hold and I was out for the count by 11pm. That’s when it hit me, I am officially old!
I was hoping the Olsen twins and Olivia Palermo would make an
appearance and they didn’t fail to make an impression. Below are my favourite looks. Who do you think shone?
For me Danni Minogue looked radiant in a Lisa Ho gown, she definitely has that glow! For once I chose Mark-Kate Olsen over Ashley for once and Olivia Palermo looked fab in a Matthew Williamson creation fresh from Sundays show. Alexa Chung looked effortlessly beautiful in Chanel with her staple quilted Chanel bag. Nicola Roberts flew the flag for the Girls Aloud team in a statement fuchsia Vanessa Bruno suit.
The girls that didn’t do anything for me style wise were Lisa Snowden in a Peter Pilotto gown, Paloma Faith with a long feathered scarf/head piece and Jameela Jamil in some sort of 70′s print catsuit. Leona Lewis is always so non-descript but this Alexander McQueen dress would have looked great if she’d have left the accessories to the simple yet stunning hat and took away those 80′s lace fingerless gloves.
