I’m going to my first festival this year, and my first camping trip, all at the same time. Never one to do things by halves, my first camping experience will be at Glastonbury 2010! Now, I’m not an expert (after all I am a Camping/Glastonbury virgin) but here are my tips for making life as comfortable as possible:
SHE WEE: no more panicking about having to hover over the most disgusting toilets in the world, with this you can pee like a boy! Basically it’s a funnel shaped device that lets you pee anywhere you like, sitting or standing, without having to remove clothes. I will admit, it feels very strange peeing standing up, but with practise, I’m sure it’ll be fine.
Baby Wipes: clean yourself with them, take make up off, use instead of toilet paper…. Their uses are endless!
Sanitising Hand Gel: with nowhere to wash and a million germs about, this gel will be my best friend. No need to be dirty!
Get a spray tan: no need to wear make up – no need to take your make up off, less hassle, less maintenance. When you’re bronzed, you feel better and look better. Fact!
Get Lash Extensions: just because you’re at a festival, you still need to look good. Complete your fake tan with lashes and you will look good with no effort needed. Wake up, look good. Go to bed and still looking decent.
Ear Plugs: you’re tired, you need sleep and the party is still going on all around you. Block out all that noise with ear plugs and still get your beauty sleep.
Toilet Roll: because there will not be any!
Wellington Boots: for muddy fields, and for disgusting toilets, u can’t beat a decent pair of wellies.
Bug spray: I won’t be getting bitten by nasty little insects!
Torch: so you know where you’re going in the dark!
Sunscreen: do not burn, it doesn’t look nice, it hurts and it increases your risk of skin cancer
Dry Shampoo: can’t wash your hair, but really don’t want to tie it up? Dry Shampoo is definitely an option! Although I have heard a rumour that there’s a place to get your hair washed at the Festival. I will be hunting that place down!
Travel Towel: they hold nine times the amount of water and dry 8 times quicker – how cool is that? And practical too!
Spare phone batteries: With no electricity to charge my Blackberry, how will I cope? I’ll be taking four extra batteries to keep me going, and keep me connected to the outside world!
I think that’s everything I need, but I may be wrong; after Glastonbury I’ll write a review and see if what I think I needed, was what I really needed!
