Vauxhall Fashion Scout is renowned for sourcing, some of the countries best and innovative designers, then showcasing them to national and international buyers.

Today’s Vauxhall Fashion Scout show, was hosted by Anglo – Brazilian duo, Nicholas Humphrey and Sergio Pires, aka Shoreditch duo Romeo Pires.

Their much anticipated, Spring/Summer 2011 collection, didn’t fail to impress and inspire. It brought with it drama, theatrics and loud imposing music. With this was an ensemble of loose fitting, oversized shirts, pleated skirts, dungarees, kaftans and three quarter length trousers for both men and women.

It seem to consist manly of much layering in classic Cream, Beige and White, with the occasional bold print, in Black and Gold, with images of, what seem to be, nails and skulls. There were also, Terracotta’s, Pinks, and splashes of Grey, thrown in for good measure. Cottons and Silks seem to be the order of the day. And the layering added to the over all texture of each garment. Add to this, White painted Clown like faces and wispy hair (reminiscent of Krusty the Clown from The Simpsons), large, oversized, comedy braces and high heeled Brogues, which will no doubt become a key look for SS11, in Browns and neutral colours.  Having said that, there was something very, quintessentially English and timeless about the collection and it was, all in all, a very theatrical catwalk show indeed.
