This spring and summer is looking set to be one of those favourable fashion seasons that really allows you to experiment and play around with a variety of different looks and tailor them to your personal style and body shape. From pretty florals contrasted and given a harder edge with biker leather jackets and boots to nautical chic stripes and double denim, there is definitely something to appeal to everyone but allow us to convey strong individuality with our style. One thing is for sure however; in both clothing and make up it is all about conveying ultra femininity!

If like me and playing dress up in true girly style is your thing then one strong make-up and hair look in particular will definitely work for you and can actually be incorporated into every look this season. Hair is loose, soft and straight but tousled with volume and make up is vibrant but demure with fluttering lashes and eyes gently lined with pretty blues and violets and the huge make up trend this season; nude lips. Think of channelling Bridget Bardot and going for a bombshell look but in an undone, innocent and effortless way.

This look works well with teamed the nudes, layers and ruffles that are very much on trend for spring/summer. If you are of a cooler skin tone, then pinks, peaches and pastel colours will perfectly compliment you and you can really work this look well. Many High Street favourites such as Dorothy Perkins, New Look and Top Shop all have a gorgeous selection of nude toned dresses that can be worked in a variety of ways for an all out super feminine look or hardened up with the use of statement accessories and a leather jacket.

Miss Selfride flatsFlats are back! Many ladies will be very pleased to hear that there is one key shoe trend emerging that works with every look and again incorporates nude tones and more importantly – a flat sole! A number of designers such as Chloe and Marc by Marc Jacobs have homed in on the flat nude trend in the form of ballet pumps, flats with ribbon or bow detailing, and lace up brogues. Even Victoria Beckham dared to be snapped in her pumps a few weeks ago. Flat shoes are comfortable, feminine and worn in the right way can still flatter the legs. However if heels are just more your thing nude caged or perforated effect sandals, barley there shoe-boots and even nude toned lace up boots with a chunky heel will give you that high fashion edge. Of course, if you want to go super stylish, heeled nude pumps a la Miu Miu and Christian Louboutin are also incredibly flattering and one of the hottest shoes to be seen wearing if your budget allows!
