So they were tipped to win way before the final and now that they have, Little Mix seem to be experiencing what I can only explain as a pessimistic knock back down to earth by the media.
Why can’t people just be happy for them and support them and what they’re about. I have no doubt that they will be huge this time next year! Especially after having a chat with one of their management team. We’re in for a treat I can tell you!
But since the final show on X Factor, I’ve read some real negative comments and headlines in the media, pressing the fact that Winners never survive and it’s better to come 2nd or 3rd place… or that their first week of sales was the lowest for an X Factor contestant since 2004. Fact or not, give the girls a break! The single that they have bought out isn’t one that they choose personally. It’s one that the X Factor machine believe will do the trick to get winning votes. Which it did. Now give them time to embrace their new found fame and cut them some slack. Because before you know it, they’ll be hitting right back “atcha” with number one hits and a sell out tour if their rendition of En Vogue’s “Don’t Let Go” is anything to go by! You just wait!
